Every day I look for some fuckin' perspective. I try to see where the rest of the world is coming from so I can learn something. I try to put my thoughts against history. I try and try and try and all I've come up with is that I am no good.
All the things that anybody has come up with in my life, including myself as well as, and especially, those that think they're doing something unique, is repetition. Show me something original and I'll show you Jesus himself. Not a single fucking thing is different than something that's come before it. That's the perspective. There's the truth. In the words of Alfred Bester,
"In the endless universe there is nothing new, nothing different. What may appear exceptional to the minute mind of man may be inevitable to the infinite Eye of God. Sounds familiar. Only conclusion? So far.
And there lies the paradox. If you are to use one absolute, there must also be another, equal and out-weighing, absolute. If absolutely NOTHING is new and unique, you are also saying that EVERYTHING was at one time new and unique. Therefore, nothing you have yet stated in the absolute means anything at all. You've canceled it out entirely. The only thing I could understand from this blog is that nothing has ever existed and yet it exists. Just some food for thought...
